Changing the way people spend their vacation
Neste has been ranked among the world’s most sustainable companies in the Global 100 index for years. They wanted to boost their employer image especially among younger generations and decided to showcase their modern sustainability know-how in practice.
To attract their target audience, Neste concentrated on sustainable travel, tapping into the “staycation” trend. Their aim was to prove that sustainable solutions can be applied to create an experience that is just as interesting, visually appealing and unique as any other popular world-class destination.
Nolla, a cabin with zero emissions, was designed by Robin Falck and located in Vallisaari. It demonstrates modern solutions for a low-impact daily life, based on self-sufficiency and renewable solutions – thus generating minimal to no emissions. Nolla was listed to Airbnb and was booked full in minutes.
